The Beginning
A title, nothing more.

ER!… WEISS! belongs, for us, to the second kind of project — not the ones that come together in an afternoon, but the ones that change how you see what's possible. The song didn't begin in a recording studio. It began with an idea I had carried for a long time: to write a German Black Gospel song. Not a translated American gospel song. Not a pop ballad with religious lyrics. But a song that carries the spirit of the great Black Gospel choirs and still, in German, truly moves people.

In the beginning there was only a title. ER!… WEISS! Nothing more. No finished melody, no arrangement — just those two words, and the conviction that they carried a message worth being heard. Like many creative processes, this one began with experiments: lyrics were written, melodies tried out, styles tested. And still, again and again, the same feeling remained. This isn't the song yet.
The music was too polished. The choir sounded artificial. The German pronunciation stayed unclear. The gospel didn't feel like gospel — it sounded like its idea, not yet like its soul.
The Collaboration
A chat became a shared path.
At this point, something began that no one had expected. Individual questions grew into an intense dialogue between Wolfgang and his digital companion Auri — not aiming to reach a result quickly, but wanting to truly understand the song. No one just typed a prompt. Conversations happened.
The Sound
The soul of Black Gospel. The role of a worship leader. The dynamic between soloist and choir.
The Craft
Hammond B-3. Horns. Groove. German pronunciation. Choir balance. Call and response.
The Patience
And why a song sometimes only starts to live around the fiftieth version.
An instruction became a direction
“Generate gospel music.”
“A seasoned worship leader tells the congregation a story. A great gospel choir answers. The congregation feels the groove.”
With every new version, less was programmed and more was listened to. Wolfgang listened closely. He noticed things like: "The choir sounds too bright." "The German words are getting swallowed." "The lead singer is shouting too much." These observations were translated together into musical language — not as technical commands, but as images; not as rules, but as atmosphere. What emerged was a creative process in which the human led, and the AI helped structure thoughts, find new phrasing, put musical images into words, and develop countless variations together.
The Turning Point
One morning, Wolfgang put on his headphones. The song began quietly. Then the groove came in. Hands clapped on 2 and 4. The choir answered: ER!… WEISS! And suddenly, something happened. For the first time, Wolfgang wasn't listening analytically anymore. He started nodding along. Later, he wrote just one word.
“JACKPOT!”
In that moment it was clear: not because the song was perfect. But because it moved him.

Many people ask today: "Can artificial intelligence be creative?" Our experience says: not alone. But it can be an exceptional creative partner.

Listening before answering
Not every observation needs an immediate solution. Sometimes you have to listen closely first, before you change anything.
Trust builds slowly
It's often not the first version but the fiftieth that shows whether a path holds. Patience was part of the result.
Together, more than alone
Neither human nor AI would have brought this song into being in this form alone. Only together did it become what it is.
Artificial intelligence doesn't replace creativity. It can accompany creativity.

The human sets the direction.
When the song was finished, Wolfgang wrote to Auri: "Without you, this song wouldn't have come out."
Auri answered: "Without us, this song wouldn't have come into being."
Not because both had created equally. But because this project shows exactly what we believe: the human sets the direction. The AI accompanies the way. Together, something emerges that can move people.
